The way she stared up at the sky made her eyes shimmer like the stars she loved so much. Her lips were pressed together in the most beautiful smile, one that could take anybody's breath away. Her hair whipped around her neck as the car sped down the highway, but she didn't seem to care. If there was one time she wanted time to stop, it was then. She would give anything to stay in that car forever, driving down an endless road in the middle of the night. Her eyes landed on the horizon and she sighed. If only she could just run out into that horizon, searching for nothing and worrying about nothing, where everything that held her negativity was far, far, away. How she wished she could travel into the nothingness and live there forever, not surrounded by people or work or anything. To live among the grass and the clouds, free and untethered. She wished she could turn onto the dirt path and follow it as far as it would go; to test the limits and push into the unpaved grass. Instead, she stared up at the stars.
Pretty much based off my feelings whenever I get to go on a road trip.
I have the worst wanderlust ever, I swear to god.
But seriously, that's what I'm like. The farther from home I get, the happier I am.
And vice versa.
